| Hua Hin (literally means "Stone Head") is a fairly quiet place to get away from it all and is less than 3 hr-drive from Bangkok. Hua Hin's clean, white, sand beach is a favourite among Thais to spend holidays and vacation (for rest and recreation). Now, Hua Hin also attracts a number of Western foreigners who lived there year-round.
Hua Hin's 5 km-long sand beach is studded with large, smooth boulders, giving the beach a scenic appeal. The beach is safe for swimming year-round. However, water sports are limited to sailing and jet-skiing. |
